The organisation envisions a Zimbabwe where every person facing a life-threatening illness including HIV, cancer and other non-communicable diseases - and their families- have access to quality, compassionate palliative care that upholds dignity and relieves suffering. Its mission is to make this vision a reality by strengthening and supporting palliative care providers through capacity building, coordination, advocacy, and quality assurance. As the national hub for palliative care, HOSPAZ works with government, civil society, and communities to expand access, integrate palliative care into health systems, and ensure that no one - especially children and vulnerable populations - faces serious illness or death in pain or isolation.
We have a mission to empower people who live in extreme poverty to create their own livelihoods. We do this by sending toolkits full of refurbished donated tools that are used in skills training centres, offering the trainees a way to put poverty in the past for good and begin their own sustainable careers.
