Founded in partnership with VegOut and their “VegUp” , Using My Privilege is a 501c(3) non-profit that was birthed to take a stand against racism. Supporting the BLACK community in all ways is our active defiance to a corrupt system — a system that has been proven to create disparity based solely on race.The solution is creating a seismic economic movement for our brothers and sisters of color. There is a lot that those who benefit from privilege may not know and cannot speak to – but there is a way to utilize your privilege for good. It’s not charity, it’s solidarity.

Providing a village for single moms. To alleviate many of the stressors which prevent single mothers from becoming successful, through the provision of affordable housing, child care, tutoring, and access to healthy meals.

Black Outside, Inc was founded with the mission to reconnect Black/African-American youth to the outdoors. Through culturally relevant programming, inspired volunteers, and passion for connecting youth to the powerful history of Black people in the outdoors, the nonprofit seeks to move the needle on diversity in the outdoors and ensure our youth have safe and equitable spaces outside. The organization provides a variety of programming to (re) connect youth of color to the outdoors. Each of the programs is crafted, influenced, and executed by a diverse team of volunteers who collectively ensure each outdoor experience is not only culturally relevant but inspires a love of the outdoors.

At Turner's Heroes, we are strong believers that every patient is a Superhero; all we do is provide the capes! Our first mission is to support pediatric patients in the children's hospital setting through superhero-themed, cape-decorating events. Our second mission is to facilitate engagement and support for patients within their communities. This is done through "Hero Days" where communities come together to dedicate a day to patients while fundraising and garnering support for patients in their community. Finally, we fundraise for a cure for pediatric cancer through the funding of Discovery Grants: innovative $50,000 grants that find new ways to combat pediatric cancer.

Together we work to help asylum seekers who cross requesting asylum or are released by DHS in Brownsville, Texas. We provide basic living supplies such as food, baby supplies , clothing , blankets for asylum seekers waiting in encampments/ shelters in Matamoros / Reynosa MX

John’s Boys BCS, Inc. is a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance, resources, and support to the foster community of the Brazos Valley. Our programs are designed to promote awareness and advocacy for foster children by providing personal and comfort essentials during times of transition, increasing access to respite care training to ease the strain on the family unit, and community inclusion through extracurricular scholarship programs.

The mission of Freedom Sings USA is to help veterans, active duty military and their families throughout the country reach emotional balance by telling their stories through the creative process of songwriting. Songwriting, along with peer support, helps provide veterans and their families the tools necessary to cope with trauma or readjustment from military service. Our mission is to also promote public support, education and appreciation for the sacrifice the veterans and their families make serving our country through the hearing of their stories as told through song.

The Foundation is passionate about helping seniors and their families find and use resources to enable aging with grace, independence and control. We promote informed decision-making to seniors and their families on a range of topics from care-giving to end-of-life care through webinars and in-person seminars/luncheons/meetings. We provide access to curated networks of retired physicians (called Physician-friends-of-the-family) as well as clinical pharmacists and counselors who provide compassionate counseling to patients and their families. We also provide financial assistance on to pay for short-term care-giving support.We believe that aging well is a group event, and in the company of family and friends, we can all age with grace and purpose!
