It is the mission of Holy Cross Education Foundation to provide funding and administrative assistance to schools that strive to provide the highest quality primary education to children in disadvantage areas. We seek to effectively help prepare students for the challenges of life in the 21st century - spiritually, mentally, morally, emotionally and physically by providing a state-of-the-art educational environment.

Every orphan child having access to education, health care and protection. To grow into a role model and catalyst for charities involved in children welfare on national and international levels. To play a vital role in the global development by nurturing orphan children into creative, peaceful, peace loving and conscientious members of the society. Intellectual, moral and physical development of orphan children with respect to all religions, ethnic groups, color and race to eradicate gender discrimination and bring harmony in the society.

To provide a work readiness programme for post school young people GSES was formed in May 2012 from a group of education and technology consultants who are passionate to facilitate change in South African schools. Programme Components In order to achieve maximum affect for our objectives , Green Shoots offers four key programme components. Each programme component is characterised by innovative strategies, measurable outcomes and an ongoing monitoring and evaluation plan. A programme component can be implemented individually as a Project or components can combined to form a multifaceted Project. 1. Technology assisted learning - Digital curriculum & integration, learner tracking & data analysis, after school programmes 3. Technical Support - Educational IT programmes design & implementation, technical issue resolution 4. Youth Development Programmes

Empower children who are deaf, hard of hearing or with communication disorders to flourish!

The Idjwi Island Education Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the mission of providing a better school for children in the village of Buhumba on Idjwi Island in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Idjwi Island, located in Lake Kivu on the eastern border of the DRC, has seen a dramatic increase in its population in recent years, much of which is the result of refugees fleeing violence in Rwanda and the DRC. A substantial number of these new residents are children, including many orphans. Approximately 400 children attend the existing primary school. This makeshift school is overcrowded, has a leaky roof, and does not provide desks or even books for the students. In 2009, Them Nyamunongo, who grew up on Idjwi and now works in Washington, D.C., returned to visit family on the island. During his stay, he gave gifts to children that he met in Buhumba. As he spent time with the children, he learned about the extremely poor conditions at the school, including how it has become overcrowded due to the increase in refugees and orphans. The children told him that their true wish was for a school with a roof so that they were not sent home every time that it rained. When Them returned to Washington, D.C., he and his wife, Safi, approached a friend who is a director at a local preschool. From this meeting in late 2009, the Idjwi Island Education Fund was formed. In just over eighteen months, the Idjwi Island Education Fund has obtained property in Buhumba for the new school (which was donated by Them's family), met with and conducted a needs assessment with the director of the existing school, and provided some interim support for the facilities at the existing school. The Fund has recruited a board of directors that includes professionals with experience in international development and project management. The Fund has also conducted a series of fundraising events through which it has raised more than $15,000, in gifts ranging from $20 to 1,000, from more than 100 different donors. With this foundation in place, the Fund is intensifying its efforts on the design program for the new school, interviewing representatives of other non-governmental organizations with experience with similar projects in the region, and identifying local organizations to collaborate in the building process. The ultimate goal of this effort is to provide improved facilities, desks, books, and a safe-haven for more than 400 primary school children in this isolated community.

Girls Education Mission International was emerged out of a pressing need among young women and girls who face gender-based discrimination and are therefore deprived of education and training opportunities to attain a better life. As a non profit, non-governmental organization aim for the betterment of humanity particularly the life of the Girl child, Girls Education Mission International envisions a World where girls become Women of Integrity, Vision and Impact. Dreamt and begun in 2007, Girls Education Mission International was officially registered in 2011 in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) with registration number (CAC/IT/NO 45818). It was also registered with the Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering (SCUML) of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with registration number (RN:SC 321400084). Despite improvements in global and national laws and policies that provide the normative framework for women to advance their rights, it is imperative to acknowledge that a vast number of girls continue to experience violence and gender discrimination at home, in schools and in their communities especially when it comes to getting an education. As part of our smart and creative strategy to better the lives of humanity, we are committed to eradicating poverty, building peace and creating sustainable impact among young women and girls using education to achieve this aim. We believe that girls education and empowerment is the vital tool to harness innovation to improvise novel solution that are not only smart and creative but also more effective, efficient and just in achieving demonstrable results when it comes to tackling the challenges continue to face globally. GEM works directly with girls, parents, teachers, and community leaders, all of whom are the ultimate drivers and stewards of meaningful change for themselves, their families and their communities.
