Each year, more than 107,000 sick children come to the hospital for care. Support from the community helps pay for the breakthrough therapies and treatments that save young lives each year. Improve the spiritual and social well-being of young people in poor communities by means of education and personal support. To give underprivileged children and young people the chance to develop themselves intellectually, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually by means of education and personal coaching. The organization wants to see young people developing their (hidden) talents and gifting and in doing so escape the vicious circle of poverty.

CAWC is committed to ending domestic violence. Using a self-help, empowerment approach, we provide counseling, advocacy, and a 24-hour hotline for people affected by domestic violence, including a shelter for women and children. We work for social change through education, service collaboration, and institutional advocacy.

We exist to serve, empower and encourage local foster children and their families.

From the website: "Miriam's House is a sober living transitional home for women and their children. Miriam's House opened its doors in 2007 to better serve mothers in recovery. Our unique program allows for mothers to get the help they need while maintaining or recovering custody of their children. Our mission is to empower these families with the critical life skills needed for a substance-abuse free future. We fulfill our mission by providing the mothers and children with a safe and nurturing environment and comprehensive social services." Miriam's House was formerly known as Promises Foundation.
