THE TRAVERSE BAY CHILDREN'S ADVOCACY IS BUILT UPON A MODEL OF SUCCESS USED BY CHILDREN'S ADVOCACY CENTERS NATIONWIDE, AND CUSTOMIZED THROUGH COLLABORATIVE TEAM INPUT IN OUR REGION. OUR MISSION SPEAKS TO PROTECTING CHILDREN BY PROVIDING PREVENTION, ADVOCACY, AND AWARENESS - ALONG WITH A MULTI-DISCIPLINARY INTERVENTION, ASSESSMENT AND TREATMENT OF CHILD SEXUAL AND PHYSICAL ABUSE THAT IS CHILD SENSITIVE, SUPPORTIVE AND SAFE.

The past thirty years of protecting children, ages newborn through thirteen years, in crisis situations has made one thing perfectly clear: our job will never be done and there will always be more we can do. This mindset has led us to making great strides in preventing child abuse and neglect by extending case management services to the whole family when a child is admitted into our emergency shelter. Our Emergency Shelter services are essential in keeping children safe and secure while opening up a doorway to address the underlying issues that lead to child abuse and neglect. Critical case management (parenting classes, referrals to financial management classes and substance abuse programs, and a collaborative network of agencies and community resources) helps us to alleviate the immediate crisis situation while focusing on eliminating the cause of that situation.  Prevention is a key component to ending the violent cycle of child abuse and neglect. Our STEP Parenting program prevents child abuse and neglect by teaching caregivers valuable parenting skills and connecting them to critical community resources. Teen parents gain job skills, education, and parenting and life skills through our No Kidding: Straight Talk from Teen Parents program.

THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO ENSURE SAFETY AND STABILITY FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE BATTERED, ABUSED, HOMELESS OR AT RISK; TO CREATE PUBLIC AWARENESS ABOUT THE EPIDEMIC OF VIOLENCE; AND TO MOBILIZE THE COMMUNITY TO PREVENT VIOLENCE AND END THIS RECURRING PHENOMENON. ITS GOAL IS TO RESTORE A SENSE OF DIGNITY, SELF-SUFFICIENCY AND INCREASED INDEPENDENCE IN WOMEN, MEN, CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES, ENABLING THEM TO RECLAIM THEIR LIVES AND ACHIEVE LONG-TERM SAFETY AND SUCCESS.

ACHI aims to promote healthy communities by providing health screenings, health education, health maintenance, and professional consultation necessary to improve the quality of life for villagers. Project Goal: To bring health screenings, health education, maintenance of chronic health conditions, treatment and prevention of endemic disease conditions (like Malaria and intestinal parasites) to those living in rural villages in Nigeria and Namibia without access to health care.

The Well in the Desert is a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides daily nutritious hot meals, emergency food assistance, weekly supplemental food distribution and a wide array of services through advocacy to those affected by poverty, including the working poor, the homeless, seniors, the handicapped and others in need throughout the western end of the Coachella Valley. Our mission fuels programs for poverty prevention, direct services for poverty intervention, and an organized effort to advocate for the poor.

Promise House moves abused, abandoned and neglected youth toward safety and success. The agency is one of the ONLY organizations in Dallas County designed to accommodate homeless and runaway young people between the ages of 0 and 24. We provide crisis intervention, transitional housing, pregnant and parenting teen support, counseling, street outreach and education services. By connecting at-risk youth with the resources and encouragement they need to become healthy, self-sufficient adults, we work to prevent chronic homelessness in North Texas.

Fejer Megyei Esely Gyermekvedelmi es Gyermeksegito Alapitvany (Esely Child Protecting and Child Supporting Foundation of Fejer County) mission is to support those children who live in child's home in state custody. These children are in multiple disadvantageous situation. We would like to decrease their disadvantages, close to them to the normal society by ability caring, training to independent life, organizing of cultural and free time programs, drug prevention, training of professionals, constructing communities, supporting learning and healthy lifestyle.

The Joan Angela D’Alessandro Foundation honors the memory of 7-years old Girl Scout Joan. The Foundation promotes child safety via programs we provide and legislation we advocate. In addition , we provide support to neglected and abused children through fun and educational excursions; and we help victims of crime by way of consultation. Joan’s story has brought hope through awareness and prevention. The lives of thousands will continue to benefit from the impact of her legacy.

COANIQUEM BCF is a U.S.-based charitable foundation with the purpose of aiding the children of the world who suffer from burns, without distinction as to nationality, race, sex, origin, or religious belief. Activities that we support include: financing the integral treatment of children, involving complete physical, psychological, social and spiritual rehabilitation; causing or providing scientific and technical research and professional training in related matters; conducting educational campaigns to prevent childhood burns; developing understanding and tolerance of those who have suffered burns.

One Heart for Women and Children's mission is to provide the necessary resources for families as they transition through and overcome varying hardships of daily living in the Central Florida region and abroad. They have established partnerships with many Central Florida resources to educate, empower, and mentor men, women and children. Special Projects They coordinate special projects that link local businesses to help others from construction, home renovations, to planting sustainable gardens they connect a community that cares, creates hope and fosters opportunity to those in need. Our mission is to protect and support women and children though prevention of, and direct support against, abuse, exploitation and human trafficking. AAT VIETNAM is a peer-based Non-Government Organization which was founded by a social worker with many years experience working in Vietnam and peer educators with a deep understanding of the Vietnamese context. We develop realistic projects to tackle the root causes of abuse, exploitation and human trafficking. AAT VIETNAM is a pioneering NGO which has established the first models of action to tackle the causes and consequences of human trafficking and sexual exploitation in Vietnam over the past fifteen years. AAT VIETNAM is unique thanks to its international task force network of local partners in fifteen countries worldwide, its direct field actions in five countries of Southeast Asia and its relationship and partnership with regional governments. AAT Vietnam's approach is to engage the Vietnamese population and Government to promote social development. Preventative actions though awareness and education are at the core of our activities, in order to achieve mindset changes in our beneficiaries, empowering them to protect themselves. Currently AAT Vietnam is mainly focused on prevention through education at schools to combat social harms and associated issues. We offer a comprehensive extra curricular course to schools with a student-interactive and comprehensive approach, which educates students about Reproductive Health, sexuality, drug use, incest, early marriage, early pregnancy, abortion, self defense, migration, human trafficking, while increasing understanding of gender differences and human rights. Our goal is to make this course adaptable to the Vietnamese National Educational curriculum in order to reach all children in Vietnam and to achieve recognition by the Ministry of Education that this is an essential activity for the well-being of new generations and social development in general. AAT Vietnam also focuses on the assistance and the protection of victims and potential victims of trafficking; offering repatriation, rehabilitation and reintegration services. We are able to offer effective services in this area when the government allows us to access to assess victims and provide support to them. The work of AAT depends on foreign aid assistance.
