SOME (So Others Might Eat) is an interfaith, community-based organization that exists to help the poor and homeless of our nation's capital. We meet the immediate daily needs of the people we serve with food, clothing and health care. We help break the cycle of homelessness by offering services, such as affordable housing, job training, addiction treatment, and counseling, to the poor the elderly and individuals with mental illness.

Operation Homefront provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors.

The Children's Inn at the National Institutes of Health is a residential "place like home" for sick children and their families. Children come from across the country and around the world to stay together with their families in The Inn's healing environment while receiving groundbreaking medical treatments at the NIH, the world's leading biomedical research center. While the NIH takes care of the child's medical needs, The Inn tends to the child's heart, soul and spirit.

Big Cat Rescue, one of the world’s largest accredited sanctuaries for exotic cats, is a leading advocate in ending the abuse of captive big cats and saving wild cats from extinction. Care of our cats. The narrow mission of Big Cat Rescue is to provide the best permanent home we can for the abused, abandoned and retired cats in our care. We do this by building enclosures in a very natural habitat with foliage and shelter on our 67 acre site, by providing the best nutritional and medical care possible, and by having active operant conditioning and enrichment programs to provide for their physical and psychological well being. Education. The broader mission of the sanctuary is to reduce the number of cats that suffer the fate of abandonment and/or abuse and to encourage preservation of habitat and wildlife. We urge people to behave in a way that will support these goals by teaching people about the plight of the cats, both in the wild and in captivity. We accomplish this through educational guided tours, educational programs for young people, and by maintaining a website that is the world's largest and best resource for information about exotic cats.

Be The Match Foundation supports the life-saving mission of Be The Match/National Marrow Donor Program, ensuring that patients diagnosed with blood cancers such as leukemia and other diseases get the marrow or cord blood transplant they need for a second chance at life. A transplant offers hope for a cure. We connect patients with their genetically matched donors and provide comprehensive support throughout the transplant journey, from diagnosis through recovery.

The Family Place empowers victims of family violence by providing safe housing, counseling and skills that create independence while building community engagement and advocating for social change to stop family violence.

At Make-A-Wish, together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Our goal is to ensure a wish for every eligible child across North Texas. Pajama Program's mission is to promote and support and comforting bedtime routine and healthy sleep for all children to help them thrive. Pajama Program provides new pajamas and storybooks, sleep health education, and caring connections to help make bedtime better for children facing adversity and their caregivers. Through innovative, nationwide programming and focused efforts in New York City, Atlanta, and metro-Detroit, Pajama Program makes a comforting bedtime routine and a good night's sleep more accessible. Pajama Program meets its mission with the help of a national network of volunteers, generous donors, and thousands of community-based organizations across the United States, including Puerto Rico. Since 2001, Pajama Program has delivered over 7.5 million Good Nights for Good Days.
