The Welcoming Center's mission is to promote inclusive economic growth through immigrant integration. We seek to open doors of economic opportunity for immigrants of all education and skill levels and to build immigrants’ individual and collective agency to address barriers to integration and well-being.

immigo is dedicated to providing essential support and services to the underserved communities, equipping them with the necessary tools, resources, and education to navigate the complexities of the United States system. Our comprehensive approach includes accessible immigration services and civic engagement initiatives. We deliver essential items to families living in underrepresented areas.

Tapestry Farms is a nonprofit urban-farm system that invests in refugees in the Quad Cities by employing and partnering with refugee neighbors to grow culturally relevant food and flowers, distribute produce to people in need, and provide navigation and direct support (housing, health, education, citizenship) to help refugee families build stable, thriving lives.

Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment in which to connect day workers and employers with dignity. In addition, we strive to empower day workers and improve their socio-economic condition through fair employment, education, job skills training, and community service. The Center also supports advocacy efforts on issues that affect day workers.

The mission of AVENEXT is to improve the quality of life of Venezuelans in need, promote and preserve our foundation among the members of our community, providing them with resources and services raised through cultural exchange events that promote the importance of moral values, human rights, education and leadership. AVENEXT changes the negative to positive and gets communities involved in projects that make them proud and that deliver results, because Venezuela is a country to love.

Equip Manyatta is a charity organization created to assist a community-based organization in Western Kenya, the Manyatta Youth Resource Center (MYRC). The officers of Equip Manyatta were instrumental in assisting community members in Kisumu to establish the MYRC. The mission of the MYRC is to increase opportunities for youth living in the slums of Manyatta, Kisumu to participate in sporting activities and the performing arts, to provide health education, support school attendance, and to build the organization into a self sustaining enterprise. Manyatta is the largest slum in Western Kenya and is home to over 60,000 people living in an area of five square miles with little in the way of urban infrastructure. Kisumu is the third largest city in Kenya, with roughly 578,000 people. Other goals include providing activities that engage youth in positive endeavors to avoid delinquency, encouraging school attendance and fostering peaceful forms of communication to avoid the sort of vicious violence experienced in the area after the last national election.
