The Center for the Visually Impaired helps people of all ages who are blind or have low vision gain skills and access resources so they can live safely, independently, and with dignity. It provides low-vision clinical services, rehabilitation and independent-living training, youth education and support programs, and a retail resource (VisAbility Store) to help clients adapt and remain active in their communities.

STRIVE's mission is to help people acquire the life-changing skills and attitudes needed to overcome challenging circumstances, find sustained employment, and become valuable contributors to their families, their employers, and their communities. STRIVE is committed to serving the hardest-to-employ, most at-risk individuals. These include the long-term unemployed, the formerly incarcerated, disconnected youth, recovering addicts, public assistance recipients, veterans, the homeless, and the working poor.

SosteNica promotes sustainable economic and community development in Nicaragua. Our loan programs strengthen Nicaraguan communities. The training and technical assistance programs we provide ensure the success of our rural borrowers. Our housing program embodies environmental values while affording low-income families a dignified place to live. In the U.S., SosteNica offers socially conscious investors an opportunity to use financial resources constructively, to have a positive impact on one of the poorest nations in the Americas, while preserving their capital and earning annual interest. Thanks to SosteNica, many of the productive poor of Nicaragua -- small farmers and micro-enterprises -- have access to credit that would be otherwise unavailable. The combination of thoughtful First World investment and careful socially conscious lending to Nicaragua's poorest creditworthy borrowers creates an opportunity for sustainable growth. We dream of a world in which people with resources in one country reach out their hands of support to people in another country struggling to make a sustainable life. Project You believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to become self-sufficient and financially stable. We provide vocational training, job placement and resource assistance to homeless and low-income women and men, many of whom are immigrants, in New York City. Through our highly successful programs, we empower some of the city’s most vulnerable people to get out of poverty, and begin building a path toward a sustainable future for themselves and their families.

The mission of Unshattered is to end the addiction relapse cycle by providing pathways toward economic independence and sustained sobriety for women winning their battle against addiction.

Community Voices Heard is an organization of low income people, mostly women on welfare and public housing residents, working together to improve the lives of our members' families and all poor people in New York City and State. We are directed, run and being built by low-income people. We are a growing grass roots organization that uses public education, public policy research, community organizing, leadership development, voter education & mobilization, and direct action issue organizing to build our membership and to organize around issues that are defined by our membershiwe broadly define "welfare activism" to be multi issue, and thus must include issues such as education, training, jobs, housing, economic development and other community issues. We fill a critical gap in that our organization connects public policy with grass roots organizing and leadership development.

La Casa Norte's mission is to serve youth and families confronting homelessness. We provide access to stable housing and deliver comprehensive services that act as a catalyst to transform lives and communities.

Our mission is to reduce unemployment levels among people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Americans with disabilities experience high unemployment rates of close to 80%. Coffee for Good will operate a high end coffee shop to reduce this unemployment rate in our community. CFG will employ and train people with disabilities which will give them the skills needed to find competitive jobs. Coffee for Good recognizes that modern technologies allow people with disabilities to achieve more. The CFG training platform will use standard equipment and software and we are confident that our trainees will be able to transition their newly developed skills to other cafe, hospitality and retail jobs. Coffee for Good will be giving them the opportunity to succeed.
