Prime Trust's mission is to empower the rural and urban poor, enabling them to become self-reliant. To achieve this, Prime Trust focuses on two areas: Financial support (micro-finance) Education and raising awareness We provide financial support through a linkage microfinance system and education via awareness programs conducted in our SHGs and tutoring at our remedial school. We strive to constantly expand our activities and to improve the service and knowledge we provide, in order to ensure that it is relevant for the women and children with whom we work. Aims & Objectives To provide the women of our Self-Help Groups (SHGs) with microfinance and assist them to successfully utilize the means given to them. To increase the number of SHGs in Puducherry and Tamil Nadu. To continuously improve the microfinance system and to make it more easily accessible for the women in the SHGs. To create awareness on women's right issues. To educate children and women in the local communities about HIV/AIDS. To create awareness on children's rights issues such as child labor and the right to education. To offer extra schooling through remedial schools for less fortunate children. To locate sponsors for children to ensure that they receive an adequate education.
Bangalore Rural Educational and Development Society (BREADS) is a non-governmental organization committed to sustainable development. Founded in the year 1993, it is dedicated to the empowerment of the marginalized poor in Kerala and Karnataka State of India irrespective of their caste, creed, gender or political affiliations. BREADS works through the Partners (Don Bosco Development Offices) working at grass root level. BREADS is more involved in policy matters, Capacity building, fundraising and collaborating with the government and non-government funding agencies, while the development partners concentrates on the implementation of the program, its management and monitoring. Over the past 19 years, BREADS has maintained a strong donor base of supporters, a consistent network of thousands of volunteers, development organizations, developmental and technical professionals and hundreds of grassroots level people's organizations actively involved in the development process. BREADS stands for sustainable community development and development of the youths and children by addressing the basic individual and community needs of the marginalized on a long-term basis. Ever since its origin, BREADS has been in the forefront to fight poverty by assisting the poor to enhance their education and skills to find livelihood and sustainable living conditions. Over the years it has helped more than 75000 youths, children and women through various programs/projects and has been actively involved in community initiatives.
EDG's mission is to prepare new immigrants with the language and cultural skills they need to access educational and employment opportunities that will give them the tools for economic self-sufficiency and the ability to participate in their communities. To fulfill its mission, EDG has made delivery of effective, relevant, and innovative English instruction along with wraparound integration services the cornerstone of its programs.
