Since 1950, TLC-The Treatment and Learning Centers has been serving children and adults with special needs in the greater Washington, DC area through diagnostic, therapeutic, educational, and employment programs that meet the growing and changing needs of our community. TLC's mission is to improve lives and expand possibilities for children and adults with special needs. TLC's vision is to be a highly visible, leading edge organization with strong collaborative and advocacy relationships, and plentiful resources that support quality programs, staff, and facilities for individuals with special needs.

To rescue and restore orphans and at-risk children in Romania who cannot be adopted out of country. Godly foster care homes are supported who provide loving and safe environments for fatherless children.

The mission of Borromeo Housing, Inc. (BHI) is to empower young single mothers to create a self-sustaining future through education, counseling and support, while they reside in our safe home. BHI closely monitors the infants of our young mothers to ensure the children are parented responsibly, receive appropriate medical care, and meet individual developmental benchmarks. In this way, BHI is determined to present two generations of at-risk youth with alternatives to the perils of neglect, poor education, and inter-generational poverty.

NicaWorks! seeks to help impoverished Nicaraguans break out of the cycle of intergenerational poverty into which they were born by providing, or increasing, access to education, healthcare, food security, vocational training, leadership development, and youth mentoring with a special focus on children, at-risk teens and adults, and single mothers. Nicaragua is the second-poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.

Zambia has about 1 million orphans, this gives Zambia the highest per capita orphans rate in the world. One in every 4 household is a child headed home. About 65% of Zambians earn less than $1.25 per day. The Other Side Foundation is committed in nurturing at grassroots level, Orphans & Vulnerable children through an integrated Values Based Education (Education in Human Values), Nutrition and Health care. We further empower the widows, grandmothers and single mothers of our students through evening adult education, skills training & microloans/seed funding. The Other Side Foundation promotes gender equality and believes that every child needs to eat at least a meal/day, have access to basic healthcare and education.

To improve the living standards of people living in remote Himalayan communities, by providing immediate support and empowering them. Through integrated programmes in the areas of health, education and livelihoods, PHASE aims to support the most vulnerable (women, children, low castes, the very poor and people with disabilities) to break the cycle of poverty, by assisting communities and local authorities to lay the groundwork for a self-sufficient future.
