We empower people to push for change in the fashion industry. We inform through media, education and policy initiatives. We are here to help people learn about 1) the clothing they purchase, 2) the after-life of their clothes; and 3) what questions to ask brands, politicians and themselves about clothing and the fashion industry. Arm In Arm (formerly The Crisis Ministry of Mercer County) was founded in 1980 by the leaders of Nassau Presbyterian Church and Trinity Church as a grassroots, community response to the economic recession of the time. Our mission is “Partnering with the community to achieve stability for our neighbors in need." We serve low-income individuals and families in every Mercer County municipality through Housing Stability and Homelessness Prevention, Hunger Prevention and Nutrition Education, and Employment Readiness including Driver's License Assistance.

Magdalene Omaha/Thistle Lights is a survivor-led program of healing, recovery, and economic empowerment for women who experienced sex trafficking/prostitution, violence, and addiction. Our two-year residential recovery program offers long-term housing, access to comprehensive trauma-informed care, legal support, and educational assistance for our residents. Residents also gain employment experience through Thistle Lights, our survivor-led small business which features hand-made products designed and crafted with love by a survivor.
