The Gender Equality Law Center (GELC) is a 501(c)(3) Brooklyn-based non-profit law and advocacy center committed to advancing laws and policies that promote gender justice and racial equity in all aspects of public and private life. Using an intersectional lens, we break down barriers that limit opportunities for low-income women, LGBTQ and gender non-conforming individuals on the basis of gender and/or sexual orientation as well those that are created by institutionalized discrimination and stereotyping.
