Dedicated to providing direct services, support, and care for all qualified participants in the sport of dogs who suffer from the devastating realities of life-threatening or terminal illnesses.

Since 1986, SFC has provided families with a hospitable place to receive nutritious food and needed clothing. Since our inception, we have expanded our basic services to include low income housing, ESL/GED programs, a small school, two huge community gardens, a chidren's community library, a lundry and shower, and an after-school youth & family center.SFC is a “place of miracles”; it was founded to provide food, clothing, and other essential services for “working poor” families who, though working at one and sometimes two low paying jobs, find it very difficult to pay both the exorbitant rental costs and provide basic necessities for their families. We strive to provide all services keeping forefront in our minds and actions our motto: “compassion not judgment."

Our daily mission is to bring together all stakeholders involved: Our neighbors in need, volunteers, civic leaders, and donors. Together, we have begun to alleviate hunger in our region. Hunger that is often caused by life’s circumstances and occasions of food insecurity. And hunger that exists due to unfair social conditions and resulting food injustice.

At KBI we strive to feed hungry children in the city of Kettering over the weekend. Children with limited food at home are able to receive breakfast and lunch at school. Over the weekend, they do not have the same availability to food. That’s where KBI steps in!

Our goal is to develop programs as sustainable models that can be replicated globally. Our people-to-people initiatives integrate health, education, arts and livelihood as a basis for mediation. The mission of the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York is to alleviate hunger and reduce food waste. The Regional Food Bank accomplishes this mission by ensuring that all products available for donation reach the Food Bank and are distributed judiciously to its member programs and the hungry people they serve; by practicing responsible stewardship; and by actively participating in the community to increase awareness of hunger and poverty.
