The charity provides mostly unrestricted grants plus capacity-building, after‑school programs, and local networking to help communities run and sustain child‑care and development services.

The mission of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is: No One Goes Hungry in Central & Eastern North Carolina. Established in 1980, the Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that has provided food for people at risk of hunger in 34 counties for over 35 years. The Food Bank serves a network of more than 800 partner agencies such as soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, and programs for children and adults through distribution centers in Durham, Greenville, New Bern, Raleigh, the Sandhills (Southern Pines) and Wilmington. Sadly, food insecurity remains a serious problem in central and eastern North Carolina. In these counties, more than 636,920 people struggle to access nutritious and adequate amounts of food necessary for a healthy life.

EHP provides emergency food, clothing, household essentials and case‑management/support services to families and individuals experiencing economic or personal hardship in East Palo Alto, Menlo Park and nearby communities. The program focuses on meeting immediate basic needs while offering referrals and advocacy to help neighbors regain stability and independence.

The mission of the Food Bank For New York City is to end hunger by organizing food, information and support for community survival and dignity.

Through our Farm to Food Bank program, we provide fresh, nutrient-rich vegetables to our neighbors in need. Our social enterprise flower shop helps fund this work, turning the beauty of our farm into support for the community. And through outdoor education programs, we invite students, volunteers, and visitors to dig in, learn new skills, and see what’s possible in urban farming. We believe in cultivating a healthier, more resilient future — a future where everyone has access to fresh food, opportunities for meaningful work, and the tools to live sustainably.
