Our mission is to affect lasting change in the lives of homeless children and their families in Davie County. We want to share the common love of humanity with others by offering them a “hand up” instead of a “hand out.” Through our efforts together in the community, we will change lives.

Rooted in Catholic Social Teaching and the Gospel imperative, Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services are outreaches of the Catholic Church in Western Washington, under the leadership of the Archbishop of Seattle and the Boards of Trustees. CCS and CHS answer the Gospel call to loving and compassionate service with particular concern for the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death and the dignity of the human person. Our employees and volunteers come from many faith traditions to serve and support poor and vulnerable people through the provision of quality, integrated services and housing. Our focus is on those individuals, children, families, and communities struggling with poverty and the effects of intolerance and racism. We actively join with others to work for justice.

At Glory House of Miami, we are committed long-term restoration to adult women affected by human trafficking. As a faith-based non-profit organization, our primary goal is to share the love of Christ and help survivors recognize their worth and value as unique individuals, and break the intergenerational chains of exploitation and trauma.

Eight Days of Hope is a Christian, nonprofit disaster-relief organization that mobilizes volunteers to serve people affected by natural and human disasters. They provide rapid-response cleanup and long-term rebuilding, plus related ministries (safe houses, mass feeding) to restore homes and offer immediate practical help and hope to affected communities.

Founded in 1986, Safe Homes of Orange County helps adult and child survivors of domestic violence, teen dating violence and human trafficking. Our mission is to work toward the elimination of intimate partner violence and trafficking by providing comprehensive support services to victims and their children, and by increasing public awareness about these issues and encouraging accountability for perpetrators.

The mission of Four Directions Development Corporation is to improve the social and economic conditions of the Native American tribes in Maine — the Maliseet, Micmac, Passamaquoddy, and Penobscot — through education and investment in affordable housing, tribal business ventures, and Native entrepreneurship. We leverage our human resources, capital, services and knowledge to build the collective economic strength of Wabanaki communities.

Cal-Earth, the California Institute of Earth Art and Architecture, is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to providing solutions to the human need for shelter through research, development, and education in earth architecture. We envision a world in which every person is empowered to build a safe and sustainable home with their own hands, using the earth under their feet.

At Council for the Homeless we believe housing is a human need and our mission is to prevent and end homelessness in Clark County, WA. We serve as the central access point for homelessness and housing assistance countywide and our staff assist people each day through our Housing Hotline, Outreach, Housing Coordination, and programs for specific groups such as seniors, families, and Veterans.

The underlying premise of Bean's Cafe is a deep belief in the inherent dignity of every person, a belief that people will respond with kindness when treated kindly, with trust when trusted, and respectfully when respected. Our aim is not to set up a value system - determining what is right or wrong - or a way of life for persons, but to allow them to form their own. In this situation a person is not acting in a special way, and their eventual response is free, lasting, and more fully themselves.

We believe that all deserve adequate food, housing, and respect. We assist our neighbors in obtaining basic needs that affirm their human dignity and worth. We make sure that our neighbors have food on their tables and roofs over their heads.We serve clients in Washington State's Greater North Seattle, including Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, Bothell, and Kenmore.

Hearts Full of Love is a ministry that desires to reach out to those in need around us, focusing on the homeless. We do this by getting to know the person and determining through that relationship, what those needs may be. Meeting basic physical needs such as food, clothing, and housing provides the opportunity for us to fill deeper basic human needs through connection, growth, significance and contribution.

The mission of PAWS NY is to help New York City’s most vulnerable residents remain with their pets by delivering critical programs and services through a community of partners and volunteers. Our programs help keep pets in their homes while protecting and promoting the human-animal bond that is so physically and psychologically valuable to our clients. Thus, our motto: helping people by helping pets.
