The program prioritizes the oldest and terminally ill veterans and is run entirely by unpaid volunteers supported by donations.
To provide support to Veterans and their families through programs, projects, and education
Their mission is to provide round trip transportation from Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport in Springfield, Illinois for veterans in order of their service (WWII, Korean Era and Vietnam Era) who wish to visit their memorials in Washington, D.C. This one day trip includes air and ground transportation, meals and snacks, t-shirt and cap, and other items provided completely free of charge to the veteran in honor of his/her service to our country.
The organization’s work focuses on supporting combat‑wounded service members by providing free clothing kits and clothing modifications, delivering empowerment events and leadership programs, and connecting wounded warriors (and families of the fallen) with services to help them rebuild purpose and community. In short: CWC aims to help combat‑wounded veterans recover confidence and re‑engage in civilian life through practical assistance (clothing/modifications) and empowerment programs.
To design and build The American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial as a symbol of honor and unity for all disabled veterans from all branches of the service and from all conflicts and generations; and to educate, inform and remind all Americans of the human costs of war, and of the sacrifices that our disabled veterans have made on behalf of American freedoms.
The mission of the ASMBA STAR Foundation is to improve the quality of life of the military service member, wounded warriors, veterans and their families by contributing to those financial, educational, social, employment and medical needs unmet by the U.S. Government. A Warrior's Oasis is committed to providing a peaceful place where Service Members (Active, Reserve, Retired and Veterans) and their families who struggle with PTSD can decompress, rejuvenate, and recuperate without the stress and distractions of everyday life. A place where horseback riding, hiking, and other activities help the mind and spirit unwind and reconnect with themselves and their family. A mind and body at peace lets the soul heal.
