Women Veterans of New Mexcio is dedicated to "Serving She Who Served" through education and advocacy. - We provide information, resources and support to New Mexico Women Veterans, including homeless women veterans. - We ensure government agencies are responsive to gender specific needs of women veterans. - Provide collaborative forum to learn and discuss challenges unique to women veterans. - Provide social events for women veterans to enhance camaraderie. - Conduct out reach and fund raise in support of our mission.
The USS Liberty Veterans Association was established to provide support for survivors of the June 8, 1967 attack on the USS Liberty. The efforts of the LVA is also focused on ensuring the US government finally conducts the public investigation of the attack on the USS Liberty. Such an investigation routinely follows an attack of this kind but for reasons as yet unexplained even to members of the crew has been denied the attack on the USS Liberty.The LVA also educates the public on the attack of the USS Liberty and tries to ensure such an event never again occurs.
The mission of AAI is to build hope and empower communities afflicted by armed conflict and severe poverty. We believe that peace, security and respect for human dignity are inseparable. Our goal is to develop programs as sustainable models that can be replicated globally. Our people-to-people initiatives integrate health, education, arts and livelihood as a basis for mediation. By building Hope, we overcome the hatred propagated by terror organizations. Community Military Appreciation Committee (CMAC) shall execute and plan community-wide events such as Memorial Day, Veterans Day, POW/MIA Day and recognition/support of military families of all services. It is an inclusive committee composed of civic education, veteran and business partners. PROVIDE SHORT-TERM PASTORAL COUNSELING AND NEEDS EVALUATIONS FOR VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES. PROVIDE TRAINING AND EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES FOR CHURCH MINISTRIES AND OTHER OUTSIDE ORGANIZATIONS CONCERNED WITH THE NEEDS OF MILITARY VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES. ASSIST VETERANS AND FAMILY MEMBERS IN IDENTIFYING AVAILABLE LOCAL COMMUNITY RESOURCES TO PROVIDE FOR THEIR LONG-TERM CARE NEEDS WHICH INCLUDE: VA SERVICES, COUNSELING, SOCIAL SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS, CHURCH RESOURCES, ETC. SERVE AS A CONGREGATIONAL RESOURCE BY EQUIPPING THEM IN THEIR MINISTRY OF OUTREACH TO VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN THE CHURCH AND LOCAL COMMUNITY. PROVIDE ENCOURAGEMENT AND SUPPORT FOR MILITARY FAMILIES WHEN THEIR LOVED ONE IS DEPLOYED.
Military members nation-wide confront a multitude of problems during their careers, the last thing they need to worry about is their pet's care during their service commitments. Dogs On Deployment is a 501(c)(3) national non-profit which provides an online network for service members to search for volunteers who are willing to board their pets during their owner's service commitments. Dogs on Deployment promotes responsible, life-long pet ownership by military pet owners by advocating for military pet owner rights, providing educational resources and granting financial assistance for military pet owners during times of emergency. VANC is a vibrant gathering place in North San Diego County, where all Veterans, active-duty military, and their loved ones can reach out for help and community. Veteran Tickets Foundation - ( Vet Tix - 1st Tix ) provides tickets to events which reduce stress, strengthen family bonds, build life-long memories and encourage service members, veterans and first responders to stay engaged with local communities and American life.( Vet Tix - 1st Tix ) provides tickets to all branches of currently-serving Military, Veterans, including immediate family of troops KIA and first responders.( Vet Tix - 1st Tix ) secures tickets to sporting events, concerts, performing arts, educational and family activities across the nation. VetTixers and 1stTixers sign up online. We verify their service. The National Veterans Foundation (NVF) was founded in 1985 to help veterans streamline the process of accessing help for the myriad of needs they face, and to help broaden public understanding of these needs--including crisis/PTSD counseling, medical treatment, legal aid, VA benefits assistance, food, shelter, education, employment training, homelessness services, and substance abuse treatment. The NVF operates the Nation's only live, toll-free crisis management, information, and referral helpline (1-888-777-4443; vetsupport@nvf.org) for all veterans and their families; coordinates Public Awareness Programs designed to increase awareness and understanding about the effects of war and human needs of Americas veterans; and conducts ongoing outreach programs that provide veterans and families in need with food, clothing, transportation, employment, and other essential resources.
The Mustang 22 Memorial non-profit fundraising efforts go towards scholarships for the children of our fallen comrades.
