Journey To The Cross And Beyond Ministries

The Journey to the Cross and Beyond Ministries is a nonprofit media-broadcasting and outreach ministry. Our mission is to help individuals discover, uncover and rediscover the love of God and be an assistive tool in navigating life beyond initial salvation. We are here to spread love, build faith, restore hope, empower, ignite passion and unlock purpose through transparent testimonies, collaboration with other organizations, linkage to resources, creative outreach programs and most importantly through the power of the word and love of God. We bring awareness to humanitarian issues such as homelessness, human trafficking, sexual abuse and poverty and assist in providing solutions by helping individuals and organizations that serve these interests. We believe that education is a key factor in escaping poverty and abuse in children, so we currently organize and manage the Hope Through Education Project which sponsors impoverished and at-risk children in Benin City, Nigeria and other areas of the country to attend school.

Diocese Of Southeast Florida

St. Matthew's is concerned with the developmental growth of children. Our students learn through active exploration and interaction with the teacher, parents, other children and materials using hands-on activities in a non-academic atmosphere. Experiences are provided that meet children's needs and stimulate learning in all developmental areas -physical, social, emotional, and intellectual. Each child is viewed as a unique person with an individual pattern and timing of growth and development. The curriculum and adults' interaction are responsive to individual differences in ability and interests. Different levels of ability, development, and learning styles are expected, accepted, and used to design appropriate activities. Interactions and activities are designed to develop children's self-esteem and positive feelings toward learning. Congregation Anshai Torah

Congregation Anshai Torah has been the spiritual home to the Dallas Jewish Community since 1980 when Anshai Emet was formed. In 1998 Congregation Shomray Torah was formed and later that year the two merged to form what is now Congregation Anshai Torah. We now provide spiritual, educational, cultural, social activities, programs, and services to more than 500 families. Guided by the principles of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, Anshai Torah welcomes Jews of the widest possible demographic categories – young and young at heart, men and women, single and married, with children and without children, traditional observing and less traditional observing. Anshai Torah is open to all, regardless of financial status. Our congregants are asked and expected to contribute dues and donations based on our fee structure and their ability. Membership categories are designed to help with these commitments. Members of Anshai Torah are privileged to have many opportunities to experience the joy of Jewish living. Although our doors are open to the entire community for most of our programs and activities, daily minyans, and Shabbat services, we do have space considerations that require us to limit admissions to Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services. Our Religious school enrollment are available only to members. And only members enjoy the right to vote at congregational meetings and serve on the Board of Directors. Members are encouraged to participate in many of our volunteer opportunities.

New Life in Christ Fellowship Baptist Church

Statement of Faith: We believe that the Bible is the Inerrand Infalliable Word of God. We believe that the Godhead exists eternally in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and that these three are one God. We believe that God is the absolute and sole creator of the universe and that creation was by divine command. We believe that God, by His sovereign choice and out of love for men, sent Christ into the world to save sinners. We believe that Jesus Christ in the flesh was both God and man. That He was born of a virgin and that He lived a sinless life; that He was crucified, died as a penalty for our sins, and was raised from the dead bodily on the third day. Later, He ascended to the Father’s right hand where He is the head of the church and intercedes for believers, and from whence He is coming again personally, bodily, and visibly to this earth to set up His millennial kingdom. We believe that in His death and by His shed blood, the Lord Jesus Christ made a perfect atonement for sin and redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. Men are saved and justified on this simple and single foundation. We believe that such salvation with its forgiveness of sins, its impartation of a new nature, and its hope of eternal life, is entirely apart from good works, baptism, church membership or man’s effort and is of pure grace. We believe that a true believer is eternally secure, that he cannot lose his salvation, but that sin may interrupt the joy of his fellowship with God and bring the loving discipline of his heavenly Father. We believe that all who receive Christ become joint heirs with Him, and at death, their spirits depart to be with Christ in conscious blessedness. We believe that at rapture, their bodies will be raised to the likeness of the body of His glory and dwell forever in divine presence.

Street Life Ministries

Street Life Ministries exists to mobilize and train volunteers in the Body of Christ to be engaged as part of the solution for those in need both in New York City and their own community by bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in creative, practical, and relevant means. Our agenda is twofold: 1) To serve the people in the Body of Christ through the mobilization & equipping of the saints for a life-style of worship, prayer, intercession, the Word & Evangelism and "short or long-term" service to help fulfill the Great Commission. 2) To reach the people who are outside of God's eternal family whom He longs to be brought home to Himself! One of the vehicles used literally to carry out evangelism is our "Step Van Ministry" whereby we bring a truck with soup, bread, drink, and clothing to various parts of the city. We offer practical help like referrals for Detox/Rehabs/Churches,12 steps/Jobs/Shelters/food pantry, AIDS hospice, any and all heartfelt needs we look to meet right away. SLM is also involved with worship and intercession in the Body of Christ as we meet together to intercede for our communities, city, and nation. At other times, we bring worship and intercession directly to the streets where we firmly believe God's presence draws others to Himself. Another avenue used for evangelism in combination with the Step Van Ministry or alone is Prayer Stations. A banner that reads, "Prayer Station" which is set up on a table along with the aprons worn by workers, remarkably draws people for prayer. We have visited many churches to challenge the Body and then see them come with us on the streets to serve. We also have teams of college age, youth, and all ages come on a weekly basis throughout the year to serve.

Cheney Community Church

"Historically, Cheney Community Church has developed certain focuses in the way we see the practice of ministry. 1. We are a congregationally governed church with Board and Elder leadership. (1 Peter 5:1-5; Acts 15:22,30 2. We are a church that seeks to balance the doctrinal views and spiritual needs of the charismatic and non-charismatic, reformed and dispensational, along with other differences evangelical believers discuss openly, In all situations, we hold to the inerrancy of the Old and New Testaments, and we promote unity and love for one another. (1 Cor. 14:1-40; 2 Thess. 2:13; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; Ephesians 4:1-6). 3. We practice adult baptism by immersion (Acts 8:38; 19:1-7; Romans 6:1-11). We also practice child dedication, but not infant baptism. (1 Sam. 1:1-29). 4. Marriage is the union between one man and one woman. We firmly believe in sexual abstinence before marriage. We also confirm what Scripture plainly states, that God's design for human sexuality opposes a homosexual lifestyle. (Genesis 2:24; Ephesians 5:21-33; 1 Corinthians 6:15-20; Lev. 18:22; Rom. 1:26-27; 1 Cor. 6:9). 5. We believe in redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ and substantial physical, psychological, and spiritual healing through a relationship with Him. (1 Peter 3:24; James 5:13-18)."

Jill's House, Inc.

CELEBRATE! – Who, How and Why We Serve Jill’s House celebrates children with special needs and provides relief to the extraordinary families who love them through short-term, overnight respite care. Meeting Children Where They Are – Their Home Away from Home We authentically love all children that come to Jill’s House and their families. They inspire others. Their stories impact our lives in the most positive ways, and we strive to impact theirs by providing a safe, fun place full of adventure and activities made just for them. Jill’s House is designed around the children, we adjust to them, not them to us. The activities are carefully and strategically planned to meet the child where they are, with the purpose of bringing normalcy to childhood. We provide cozy and comfortable sleeping areas for safe and secure overnight stays, with constant and watchful care. Many of the children experience, for the first time: -Slumber parties -Birthday parties -Going to camp -Swimming in our indoor accessible pool -Singing in our music room -Creating crafts in our art room -Shooting hoops in our gymnasium -Playing outside on the specially equipped playground Changing The Face of Disability Ministry Jill’s House is a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to providing support for families (without regard to race, religion or ethnicity) raising children who have special needs through short-term overnight care and activities allowing respite for their families. We want to change the face of disability ministry in America so that each family of a special child has respite within reach and access to a church that embraces them. Why? Respite: Restored and Better Equipped The parents, caregivers and siblings of these special children are extraordinary human beings. They face the same day-to-day struggles as most with the added concern, dedication, stress and exhaustion that comes with raising a child with special needs. Overnight respite allows parents to: -Take time away and focus on their marriages. -Devote more time to typical siblings. -Continue their education to improve their family’s quality of life. -Get ahead on work. -Catch up with old friends. -Best of all, let go and release any guilt or fear, because they know their child is happy and safe. How? Through Christ, in Prayer On a foundation of vibrant faith in Jesus Christ, we work with purposeful excellence, engaging everyone we encounter with compassion and joyfully serving every child and family who walks through our doors. It is this faith and emphasis that we pray will continue to distinguish Jill’s House for years to come.
