THEIR ADVENTURE COULD TAKE THEM BEAR HUNTING IN THE MOUNTAINS OF BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA, ON ALLIGATOR HUNTS OR FISHING EXCURSIONS IN THE GULF COAST REGION OF FLORIDA OR DEER HUNTING IN TEXAS. DURING THEIR EXPERIENCE, THEY WILL PARTICIPATE IN THERAPEUTIC ACTIVITIES SUCH AS BACKPACKING, TRAIL EXPEDITIONS AND NUMEROUS SOCIAL INTERACTIONS.
Founded in 2004, and bouting in May 2005, the Dallas Derby Devils brought flat track roller derby to the DFW metroplex. As a skater-owned, DIY (Do It Yourself) nonprofit organization, and a member league of the WFTDA (Women’s Flat Track Derby Association), our mission is to empower ourselves by working together on and off the track. We take time to give back to our community through charitable contributions, local sponsorship programs and by cooperating and collaborating with other roller derby leagues worldwide.
Hope for Limpopo, Inc. promotes women and children's safety, education and well-being through support of projects and capacity building programs dictated by the needs of the local community in and around Limpopo Province. Activities consist primarily of financing works that provide education, basic diet and nutrition counseling, public awareness, and medical care for impoverished children and adults living in the rural areas of South Africa. An emphasis is placed on children orphaned or otherwise adversely affected by HIV/AIDS and their caregivers.
South Sudan Grassroots Initiative for Development (SSGID) is a National non-profit, Humanitarian and Development community organization established in the year 2013 and registered with the Ministry of Justice (Registration Number 1921) and the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (Registration Number 350). SSGID was founded by a group of women and youth of South Sudan with the aim of responding to the ever increasing social, economic, and health challenges affecting the predominantly rural / pastoral population of the Country. SSGID philosophy is based on the principle of Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) where target communities are viewed as ASSETS with lots of opportunities, resources and ability to influence their desired outcomes other than as Problem Centres for humanitarian actions. SSGID, therefore, supports communities through a wide range of programmes that are community-driven with a niche on community innovation and problem solving. SSGID's programmes are focussed on vulnerable women and girls because SSGID subscribes to the belief that "if you educate a woman, you educate a nation." In addition women and girls are the worst affected categories of people in South Sudan as far as poverty, education attainment, human rights violation besides being marginalized in development programmes. SSGID also believes that youths play a very key role in transforming societies and are regarded to be having proactive minds towards development as well as being enthusiastic members of the society. SSGID provides Livelihood skills training and capacity building programmes to empower the young women and men in the communities so that they could contribute to their own development and build a resilient and sustainable community Vision Statement: Just, educated, healthy, equitable, peace loving and self-sustaining communities. Mission Statement: Dynamic partnership with communities to promote peace, reduce inequality, hunger, ignorance, poverty and diseases. Our MOTTO: To improve the health status and wellbeing of the vulnerable women and girls in communities through community driven: Livelihoods improvement, Girl Child Education, Promotion of health and sanitation, progressive culture, gender and protection programmes. Objectives: SSGID is driven by the following core objectives in its programme design and interaction with various Promotion and strengthening of sustainable agriculture among women and youth. Improvement of health and solidification of communities' response to emerging health issues. Women and youth empowerment through education and human rights advocacy. Promotion of peaceful co-existence among citizens and proactive participation in good governance stakeholders. Equity Promoting equitable and equal opportunities for all the beneficiaries and in employment in SSGID. Integrity A very high sense of moral and ethical standards in all SSGID dealings with all stakeholders and the public. The objectives for which SSGID operates are to ultimately give dignity to the people of South Sudan and to make them realise and enjoy a peaceful coexistence from within South Sudan and with the wider world community. Specifically, this will be achieved through the following objectives: i. Advocate for the large communities' social and development interests. ii. Mobilize local resources and other sources of incomes from individuals, international organisations, State governments and groups in furthering its mission. iii. Promote and carry out research, in furthering of its activities. iv. Promote community activities through singular or join workshops, exhibitions, meetings, lecture classes, seminars and training courses. v. Collect and disseminate information and exchange such information with other bodies having similar objects whether in South Sudan or overseas. vi. To acquire any moveable or immovable property and any buildings or things whatsoever and sell, dispose of Mortgage, lease or otherwise deal with all or any part of the property or rights of the Organization. vii. To enter into any arrangement with any governments or authorities that may seem conducive to the Organization's objects or any of them, and to obtain from such government or authority any rights, privileges and concessions which the Organization may think desirable to obtain. viii. To promote or assist in the promotion of any organization or company or other body having objects similar to those of the Organization. ix. Undertake, execute, manage and/or assist in any charitable work that may be lawfully undertaken, managed or assisted by other organisations. x. Write, publish, print or otherwise reproduce, circulate, gratuitously or otherwise distribute such documents, papers, books, newsletters, periodic, pamphlets or other documents, films and/or record tapes, (whether audio or visual or both) as shall be permitted by the laws of Publication and Access to Information Act of the Republic of South Sudan. xi. Carry out any such other lawful thing as may be necessary for the said objectives. SSGID supports vulnerable communities of South Sudan by acting in the following areas i. Rescue, provide emergency care, rehabilitate and resettle women and children and other IDPs. ii. Promote community health. iii. Improve community water, sanitation and hygiene. iv. Advocate and work for gender empowerment. v. Promote Education in emergency and peace situations. vi. Engage in Peace Building and Human Rights promotion at community level. vii. Promote Youth and women Enterprise and Vocational Skills Development. viii. Carry out Humanitarian Emergencies. ix. Engage in Research and Development. x. The American Amputee Soccer Association has dual missions. One mission is to promote and develop the sport for the benefit of participants with limb differences. We look to grow the sport for juniors and adults and for women and men. We look to accomplish this through outreach programs at the local levels to help interested players become introduced to the sport, maximize their proficiency, build self confidence, learn the power of teamwork, and build a strong social network. Our second mission is to select, develop, and train the elite amputee soccer athlete to represent the United States in international competition.
Turkiyemspor is recognised as being among the most successful clubs spawned within Germany's immigrant communities. They have contributed to creating a positive image for their community and helped set a confident example for Turks in the country with many other ethnically-Turkish clubs following in their footsteps. The name Turkiyemspor is now also used by clubs in Moenchengladbach, Wuppertal, Breuberg, Amsterdam, Australia, and the United States. The club is actively involved several community-oriented programs built around anti-racism, intercultural understanding, a campaign against violence in families and campaign for respect for homosexuals. Turkiyemspor Berlin e.V., founded by turkish migrants 1978 in Kreuzberg in West-Berlin. In addition to the adult football department, which includes three women's teams, the club is very active in youth development. In the 2018/2019 season, nearly 200 girls from 4 to 18 years are playing at Turkiyemspor. Rooted in the turkish community of the now reunited Berlin, all kind of girls play in one of our 8 girlsteams. The multicultural district of Kreuzberg is one of the most diverse districts in Germany with people from all over the world. Despite the booming economy of berlin kreuzberg has still a lot of families with working class backround or in precarious financial situations. With its comitment for social and intercultural exchange Turkiyemspor provides a deeply needed platform bringing girls together from all social and ethnical backrounds. The youngest player of ist the 4 year old Ida and the oldest the 48 year old former player of the turkish national women team Mehtap Ardahanli. This perfectly sums up the philosophy of the girls department of turkiyemspor. To provide a space for EVERY girl and woman that want to play football despite of the individual skillset and talent, age and backround. Every girl can play. In addition to the girls teams we have three women teams. One for leisure and fun, one medi-professional team for the advanced afterwork kickoff and one professional team filled with talent, and aiming to play in the regionalliga in the following years.
South Florida Flag Football League is the premiere LGBTQIA Flag Football Organization located in South Florida. The SFFFL is a member city of the National Gay Flag Football League (NGFFL), and has grown from 3 teams to over 10 teams since it's inception in 2007. The SFFFL has both an open division and a women's division, with each division fostering competitive play, team building, weekly social events, and fundraisers! All skill levels are encouraged to join SFFFL regardless of skill level! We offer a great way for players to meet new people, stay active, and have fun on and off of the field!

LACBC envisions a Los Angeles County that is a great place for everyday, year-round bicycling. People live in healthier, more vibrant communities, where the air is cleaner and streets are both quieter and safer for everyone. More women, families and children ride their bikes, and appreciate opportunities to enjoy their neighborhoods and their city. All people, of varying cultures and backgrounds, can ride their bikes everywhere, safely and conveniently.
