HFCA employs a proven United Nations supported 'sport for development' model. Underprivileged young people get access to high quality training, team building and mobility opportunities. This supports wellbeing, mental health, self-esteem, and crucially provides pathways into further opportunities by developing soft skills for success in education and employment. HFCA is fully committed to The UN Convention Article 31 on the Rights of the Child whichstates "That every child has the right to rest and leisure, to engage in play and recreational activities appropriate to the age of the child and to participate freely in cultural life and the arts''.

Team Survivor California

Recent research has proven the benefits of exercise for people who are undergoing or have undergone cancer treatment. Team Survivor aims to make regular exercise a fun, convenient and supportive experience for all women affected by cancer. Our group exercise programs are designed to accommodate women of all fitness and experience levels - some of our participants are exercising for the first time in their life, others are longtime athletes working to regain their strength following their cancer treatment. All of our participants support one another in their healing journeys.
