Camp Ma-He-Tu was founded as the Lutheran Girls' Camp Association in 1937. We have a long tradition of providing young women with an outdoor experience that incorporates a variety of activities but focuses on individual growth and development.

We empower women and children living in rural communities to overcome social injustice, disease, illiteracy, and poverty. Our small-scale interventions enhance their social and economic well being and help them reach their potential.

To strengthen the capacity of the most disadvantaged, underserved, and vulnerable populations, especially women, children, Dalits, and people living in remote geographic areas, through learning opportunities that integrate culture, innovation, and economy for a brighter and sustainable future.

Providing a safe space for young girls and young women to envision and pursue the future they want for themselves and their communities through life-skills and reproductive health training and awareness, Arts and Sports, professional development and scholarship program me.

Our mission is to advocate for the underprivileged children and women, release them from their economic, social and physical poverty and enable them to become responsible and fulfilled people in the society. Tumaini Miles of Smiles Centre was founded in 2004 after seeing the need in the rural areas especially in the lives of the orphans, vulnerable children and poor families. Rural areas are areas that rarely benefit from large international organisation as they are not easily accessed and this has left many children and women to suffer with no hope. It is in this regard that Tumaini was founded to be a light in the lives of the needy in rural areas.

Our mission is to provide girls and young women the tools needed to increase self-esteem, self-awareness/defense and self-empowerment while practicing mindfulness, teamwork, and gaining communication skills with strong emphasis on appreciation for biodiversity and conservation.

To thank, honor and serve our U.S. Military Veterans. To provide outdoor recreational experiences to the men and women of our armed forces in a peer setting with emphasis on fun and relaxation. (And to catch some world class ND Lake Sakakawea Walleye!)
