LegacyWorks is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose vision is for urban youth to become the benchmark for personal and cultural excellence in Birmingham, AL, and beyond. We aim to increase the number of urban youth with positive role models and break cycles of poverty and despair through family planning and greater rates of postsecondary education.
We implement family support, economic development and foster care programs that safely place separated children back with their birth families, relatives or foster families. We also preserve at-risk families to prevent child abandonment and reduce the reliance on orphanages. Our services empower families to achieve independent, self-sufficient lives and provide healthy environments for their children. Services include: parenting, counseling, early childhood development education, sustainable income generation training and short-term livelihood support.

The CCC Youth Foundation (CCCYF) supports cycling programs for children and teens that promote community engagement, cycling safety, and both recreational & competitive cycling opportunities. The CCCYF hosts cycling-oriented fundraising events such as races for all age groups, workshops that focus on cycling development and safety. The CCCYF also provides funds and bikes to local schools and youth development organizations for programs that draw attention to the positive role cycling can play in the healthy development of a child’s life.
Smile 4 Kids is a 501(c)-3 non-profit organization that works to enrich the lives of children experiencing hardship by providing hope, instilling resilience, and developing opportunities to succeed. Their team works to create and maintain long-term relationships with all types of children.
