The DreDay Foundation’s mission is to stimulate growth, positively affect the lives of children, families, and community through advocacy work, sport, and education in non-traditional program settings. We support issues of purpose and aim to help empower and produce positive contributing citizens. In addition, our mission is to provide influential guidance to young adults to help prevent gun violence.

Youth Alive works to break the cycle of violence in Oakland by preventing and interrupting street violence, providing hospital‑based and community intervention and case management, and offering healing and leadership development for young people and families affected by trauma. Their programs combine frontline outreach, mentoring, crisis support, and policy advocacy to reduce retaliation and support survivors’ long‑term recovery.

Read Alliance serves at-risk kindergarten and first graders by recruiting and training teens to provide structured one-to-one tutoring in reading.We focus on students in the early grades to prevent reading difficulties before they become barriers to future success.  Our students average a full grade level improvement in reading while their teen tutors develop college, career and life skills.

The mission of Synergy Services, Inc is to strengthen the individual, family, and community through crisis intervention, shelter, counseling, advocacy, and education. Synergy provides a "lifeline for families and individuals in crisis."  Through an interconnected set of services, the agency provides individuals and families with prevention education, immediate respite from violence, and support to assist them in their ability to find and choose good options for safe and successful futures.

JTD is premised on the belief that substantive and supportive curriculum-based programs can be a powerful catalyst for homeless and victimized teens to be positively motivated to pursue education and healthy living goals. As the numbers of homeless and victimized teens grow, JTD is aggressively stretching to reach more teens each year through community outreach, school programs, prevention, education, teen residential shelter, and supportive service initiatives

Maji Safi Group is a Boulder‑based 501(c)(3) that supports community‑led Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) programs in rural Tanzania. They focus on disease‑prevention education and related WASH interventions (including menstrual hygiene, WASH in health facilities, ICT/learning tools, and climate‑resilient WASH), centering local women and youth while the U.S. office handles fundraising and support.

World Cares Center’s mission is to reduce the harm, suffering, and loss caused by disasters through the empowerment of underserved, at risk communities to prevent everyday accidents and react as educated and skilled ready responders when disasters occur. WCC believes that resiliency is best promoted when all facets of communities are prepared to respond to disasters together to mitigate their inherent risks, thereby reducing human and economic loss and suffering.

We prevent child abuse by keeping children safe and families together.  We empower families to break the generational cycle of abuse through parenting education, therapeutic classrooms, and home visits.  We serve children from birth to five years of age with early childhood development programs that will prepare them for the rest of their lives.It is our mission to "keep children safe and families together."

The Bella Cuisine Kids Cooking Club, is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization based in Chicago, IL. Our mission is to teach and encourage children to make healthy eating a part of their daily lives and to combat childhood obesity within the community; by encouraging families to cook from scratch and decrease food related health issues. Our vision is to build a sustainable "grassroots" effort to reduce obesity by focusing on prevention starting with early childhood.

The Firefighters Burn Institute is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded by Sacramento Fire Captain Cliff Haskell and the Sacramento Area Firefighters, Local 522 in 1973 for the purpose of establishing a local burn treatment facility; providing recovery programs for burn survivors; promoting fire and burn prevention through public education; funding education for medical burn team professionals, firefighters, and burn survivors; and supporting burn treatment and rehabilitation research.

Old Skool Café is a faith based violence prevention program providing jobs and training to at-risk youth ages 16-22 at a 1940s-style supper club. We address the epidemic of violence and recidivism by providing at-risk, previously incarcerated, and foster care youth with a variety of career opportunities that would normally not be afforded them. Our vision is to establish a youth-run restaurant that will employ youth in every area of the business, developing real skills that are transferable in the marketplace.

Amigos in 2011 commemorates 20 years of continued service to the South Florida community. Throughout its history, Amigos has come to the aid of South Florida's most valuable resource - its children. Ultimately, Amigos For Kids hopes to increase awareness about child abuse, and strengthen the community by helping to educate families and prevent the painful cycle of child abuse and neglect. Amigos For Kids Blue Ribbon Campaign - coordinates activities throughout April's National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Since April 2004, Amigos has spearheaded efforts in cooperation with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Miami-Dade County Commissioner Rebeca Sosa, the Mayors of the City of Miami, Coral Gables, and Miami-Dade County, and other local community leaders and organizations to provide an informative series of events. Its purpose is to create awareness, through education and community involvement, and promote positive parenting as relates to the issues of child abuse. The organizaton's goal and vision is to promote its There's NO excuse for child abuse! campaign nationally in 2012.
