The WHO, founded in 1948, is the United Nations agency dedicated to global public health. Its mission is to connect nations, partners, and communities to ensure universal well-being, protect against health threats, and support vulnerable populations - enabling everyone, everywhere, to achieve optimal health. Rooted in science and policy, WHO works across 150+ countries to combat diseases, set health standards, and advance research. WHO, plays a critical role in supporting Somalia's health system amidst ongoing emergencies. Somalia faces persistent challenges from conflict and natural disasters-such as droughts, extreme flooding, and famine-that have severe impact on Somalia's population. WHO's approach bridges humanitarian response and long-term development, aiming to build resilience and strengthen Somalia's health system.

Our mission is to aid and support children suffering from poverty, sickness, lack of education or who have experienced physical or moral violence, by offering them the opportunity and the hope of a new life. It is an independent, lay organisation and is also designated an ONLUS (Non-profit organisation of social value). It operates without discrimination of culture, ethnicity and religion and upholds the United Nations rights of the child. The Foundation works around the world and is closest to the weakest and most neglected children offering them food, medicine, health care, education and programmes for social reintegration. The BKFA works with organisations and communities to provide a clean birthing environment for women in developing countries in order to reduce the incidence of infant and maternal mortality. Zahana in Madagascar is dedicated to participatory rural development, education, revitalization of traditional Malagasy medicine, reforestation, and sustainable agriculture. It is Zahana's philosophy that participatory development must be based on local needs and solutions proposed by local people. It means asking communities what they need and working with them collaboratively so they can achieve their goals. Each community's own needs are unique and require a tailor -made response
