Save The Music Foundation (STM) is a leading 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to helping students, schools, and communities reach their full potential through the power of making music. Lidè is an educational initiative in rural Haiti that uses the arts and literacy to empower at-risk adolescent girls and help them transition into school or vocational training. The Lidè program seeks to uplift women and girls who have been denied equal access to education. Lidè trains and employs Haitian teachers and collaborates with grassroots schools and programs. In Lidè programs participants gain life and leadership skills and help foster the community support they need to begin their educational journey. The Lidè Foundation believes that arts in education inspires personal empowerment, resilience and self-efficacy. Lidè means both “Leader" and “Idea" in Haitian Creole.

In 2007, the Playing for Change Foundation was established as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization created to inspire, connect, and bring peace to the world through music. Our mission is to create positive change through music and arts education. 15 music programs have been created in Bangladesh, Brazil, Ghana, Mali, Nepal, Rwanda, South Africa, Morocco, Mexico, Argentina and Thailand. More than 2,000 young people attend free classes in dance, instruments, languages and musical theory, all taught by qualified local teachers. Learning music has been shown to increase self-esteem and foster resilience, which is critically important to children who are vulnerable due to poverty, conflict, drugs, and neglect.

The mission of our parent teacher association is to positively impact the lives at all children and families by representing our members and empowering and supporting them with skills in advocacy, leadership and communication.

The mission of the George Peabody PTA is to encourage excellence in student development and achievement by advocating for our children and school, and support teachers and staff through our volunteer and grant programs.

The Thousand Oaks High School PTSA is comprised of volunteer parents whose primary objective is to bring programs, events, and activities to the entire student body, teachers and staff of our high-achieving school. We strive to enhance the academic environment by supporting our school community with a variety of engaging and enriching programs.

Our members include teachers, administration, support staff, and of course parents, guardians, and family from the Lawton Community. The funds we raise through our PTA go straight back into our public school. Whether it is spent on new or current programs, classroom items, field trips, graduations, greening, instruments, or many other things, this money enriches the school experience for each student at Lawton.

The PTA brings the community together and provide support through donations, volunteering, and fundraisers like the Fall Festival. The PTA provides funds that bring technology to the classroom, supports the growth of the schools arts and music program, and provides other educational opportunities for students.
