With all our services located under one roof within our bright and welcoming Cancer Centre, we’re able to offer seamless care every step of the way, from diagnosis, through treatment, and after, in an environment that doesn’t feel like a traditional hospital.We know that the landscape of cancer is changing. More people are being affected, but we’re at an exciting point in time when promising new therapies are being developed and research breakthroughs are waiting to be made. It’s crucial that we continue to fund the innovative research, treatment and exceptional care that takes place at Guy’s to ensure we keep going above and beyond what the NHS alone can provide as we help more people cope with and survive cancer.

Action Against Cancer (AAC) funds the development of cures for cancer. The cutting edge programmes that we support aim to improve the survival prospects and quality of life for millions of cancer sufferers. AAC is different because we lack bureaucracy, making us able to support innovative new scientific research. We provide crucial seed funding to projects that could not secure support from other sources. Larger funders require existing data before providing finance for experiments, and this does not allow for brand new ideas - AAC fills this gap. Our fast-moving approach has been shown to work, with the discovery of a cancer-causing gene, and the identification of important molecules that suppress tumours and decrease the spread of certain cancer cells and much more. We believe that cutting edge research that takes risks and pushes boundaries is the only way cancer will be beaten.Funds given to Action Against Cancer are spent on scientists’ salaries and the essential equipment that they need to make life saving breakthroughs, in laboratories at Imperial College London, the University of Sussex and Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge. We are low on bureaucracy and have a very small staff team working from home, so no office to pay for. This means low overheads. Our many initiatives educate young people and adults how to identify and eliminate the causes of cancer.EARLY DETECTION. The vast majority of cancers are curable when discovered early. Cancer Schmancer provides information on self-examination and early warning signs. Our motto is, “Catch it on arrival, 90% survival!”POLICY CHANGE. About PROCURE Founded in 2003 by Marvyn Kussner, PROCURE is the only charitable organization exclusively dedicated to the fight against prostate cancer through research, outreach, education and support for men affected by this disease and their families. In Quebec, 12 men per day are diagnosed with prostate cancer, thus 4600 men per year.

CSC uplifts and strengthens people impacted by cancer by providing support, fostering compassionate communities, and breaking down barriers to care.

In the last twenty years, researchers have accumulated an impressive amount of data that are helping us to understand better the processes leading to cancer, as well as the means of preventing, controlling, and curing it. Cancer is a complex disease that shows up in more than 200 various forms. The scale of the task is monumental and the needs in research are enormous. Our understanding of the disease at a genetic and molecular level will allow us to save innumerable lives. Your donations help Canadian researchers, doctors and scientists advance in the fight against cancer. At Cancer Relief UK we work hard to help families make their battle with cancer a bit easier, We provide grants for travel costs, medical equiptment,household bills, or a family treat for some R&R,We can also help set up and run appeals for treatment abroad or at home ,as well as last wishes.

TeamConnor's purpose is to raise funds for childhood cancer research programs, to build awareness of the limited government funding, and to support patient programs.
