The AEBC objectives include: - To establish a strong national organization with a voice and a will to change what it means to be blind - To promote ideas and solutions for equal access and full participation and to foster their inclusion whenever new programs, legislation and policies are being developed - To eliminate barriers that prevent access to printed information, technology, household products, and other goods and services - To provide mentoring to blind children and newly blinded adults through interaction with successful blind role models - To assist blind, partially sighted and deaf-blind Canadians to gain access to needed programs and services. - To encourage the acquisition of usable skills through training programs and higher education

The mission of Lighthouse for the Blind of Fort Worth is to empower individuals who are blind through superior training, meaningful employment and specialized rehabilitation services so that they lead full lives with the highest level of independence and quality of life.

The Society for the Blind enhances independence, empowers individuals and enriches the lives of people who are blind or visually impaired and their families. Caring, qualified staff provide specialized vision rehabilitation, adaptive education, assistive technology and support services.

Therapeutic Living Centers for the Blind is dedicated to caring for the lifetime needs of people challenged by developmental disabilities and blindness.  TLC believes in the value of each individual and promotes the philosophy that each participant can be assisted to achieve his or her full potential.

BISM was founded in 1908 by the Maryland General Assembly, and supports the blind community by providing stable and rewarding career opportunities, innovative rehabilitation programs, economic and personal independence, and appropriate resources for training and education. Together, we are positively changing attitudes about blindness.

RSBC believe every blind child and their family should have the skills and confidence they need to live their life without limits. We work with blind children and young people and their families to develop the skills they need to overcome the barriers to realising their hopes, dreams and ambitions.

Since 1946, the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind has trained and placed guide and service dogs to provide independence, enhanced mobility, and companionship to people who are blind, have low vision, or who have other special needs. The Guide Dog Foundation serves clients from across the United States and Canada. People come to us for our trademark small classes and personalized instruction, and we have successfully worked with individuals who are deaf-blind and those with disabilities other than blindness or hearing impairment. In addition to our guide and service dog programs, the Foundation offers extensive education and outreach programs to broaden the public's understanding of vision and visual impairment, and access and disability rights.

Our mission is empowering people who are blind or visually impaired with lifelong skills for safe and independent daily travel.

The Akron Blind Center provides local programs, classes, and adaptive resources to support independence and social connection for people who are blind or have low vision in Summit County and nearby areas. It runs educational and social programming, outreach (including youth initiatives and a scholarship), and assists with adaptive technology and everyday-living skills.
