Light Up Children is committed to transforming the lives of orphans and street children in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Our mission is to provide immediate support through essential aid, such as food and basic necessities, while working towards long-term solutions that empower vulnerable children. By fostering education, providing shelter, and creating opportunities for sustainable growth, we aim to break the cycle of poverty and give children the chance to thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. Through our work, we strive to light up the lives of those who need it most.

Childhood is fleeting, there are no do-overs. That’s why we apply pressure to government officials to persuade them to do what is necessary to give every child the basic ingredients for a lifetime of success. Children First improves the lives and life chances of our region’s low-income, Black, and Hispanic children by advocating for the building blocks of opportunity — equitable access to high-quality early education, sound health care, effective public schools, as well as dependency and delinquency systems that heal children. We work with and organize parents, youth. and concerned citizens to advance these fundamental requirements of a more just society and a better futures. Formerly known as Public Citizens for Children and Youth (PCCY), Children First continues the 40+ years of advocacy on behalf of children and families in southeastern PA.

Children of Peace is a non-partisan, multi-faith charity dedicated to building friendship, trust and reconciliation between Israeli and Palestinian children, aged 4-17, and their communities. Its aim is to develop a shared spirit via arts, education, health and sports programmes, so future generations might live and work peacefully side-by-side.

To help impoverished children succeed in life. We enable children to access schools and we help them to stay there, by paying fees, teaching life skills, providing counseling when problems arise, providing medical help when needed and making sure every child has at least one square meal every day. We provide both formal education and technical training for children who would otherwise suffer hunger, disease and permanent poverty.

Children Change Colombia works with children and their families to challenge poverty, inequality and violence. We believe that children can change Colombia.

Change for Children partners with communities in Latin America and Africa who are struggling against poverty and injustice to improve access to basic needs, healthcare and education. Our development projects, their cost and priority, are determined by our Southern partners according to the current needs of their communities. Change for Children is about social change. In Canada, our Global Education program engages the public in a process of awareness raising, analysis and action on issues of global justice.

The organization is dedicated to the recovery of missing children and to the prevention of the abused and endangerment of children. 

The mission of Arizona’s Children Association is to protect children, empower youth and strengthen families.

Through the establishment of a joint partnership agreement with Bolivian grassroots organization, Fundación Niños con Valor, BCF implements programs and projects that aim to alleviate poverty and its effects suffered by children and their families. These currently include residential programs for children who have been orphaned, abandoned or removed from high-risk situations. In the future, we hope to expand and include outreach programs to help stabilize at-risk-families, and community programs aimed at establishing new and supporting existing educational and health programs specifically benefiting mothers and children.

Care for Children is a global children’s charity with a mission to safely move children out of orphanages and into local loving families. We have a proven track record of success, having so far enabled over one million orphans and vulnerable children to grow up in families instead of orphanages.

Twenty years ago, Zareinu started from the hearts of a few who saw a need to help children with a wide range of developmental challenges. The goal was to provide special chidlren with the vital therapies and treatments combined with an adapted education rich in Jewish teachings and traditions. Today, Zareinu has an excellent reputation as the only Centre of its kind in Ontario - a place where children receive all the supports they need under one roof.
