Mission statement To empower women and youths and increase their economic earning status and power through education, promoting sustainable food and water supply, advocacy on basic human rights principles and leadership capacity building for self development.
Vision statement We envision/envisage empowering the most susceptible, underrepresented, excluded women, children, orphans, needy and youth through vocational and technical skills acquisition and research for effecting changes in credible human activities and enhance social and environmental changes.
Programs Economic empowerment for self development:- We empower women by increasing their economic status and earning for self development. This is done by providing literacy and leadership training, vocational and skills training, entrepreneurship/business skills and community development to ensure positive changes in their lives and environment.
Education:- Supporting girls education, strengthen literacy and numeracy for girls and youths in our communities, provision of permanent structures for drop out students in our society where they can have access and relevant education.
Leadership and capacity building:- workshop, training and retraining programs, creation of network to solve problems affecting the most vulnerable women, children and youth.
Health and nutritional support:- Supporting the most susceptible victims of violence and abuse, HIV/AID, female genital cutting/mutilation and guardian and counseling of widows and other fatal diseases.
Food and water supply and environment:- We continue strides to achieve brighter future for all women, girls and youth through food security and sustainable agricultural activities, provision of clean water and environmental changes.
Advocacy on human rights:- supporting freedom of association, strengthen democratic ideas and values, freedom of information and independent media and promote freedom of association, discouraging prostitution, teenage pregnancies, child slavery/labour. Promoting women's and girls rights.
Climate Change: Our communities are facing adverse effects of climate change. This daunting challenge works against our lives and environment in which we live. FOPYE fervently believe that the success and progress of our nation and the world in general is to accelerate commitment to invest in climate change with new approaches. Solar Energy/Renewal Energy: Solar technology is one of the aspects of our activities that will enable us to design and develop a solution towards climate change and help rural people with solar project energy supply. This will also help students to embark on their school work diligently. Disabled Persons: FOPYE is a firm from all works of life and as such we have taken the bold venture and join the rest of the organizations worldwide that have the same vision and mission with ours to protect and promote the well being of Physically Challenge persons.
