Bustle Digital Group is shining a spotlight on some of the millions of small businesses and employees challenged by COVID-19 and encouraging readers to take action by donating directly to relief efforts. Donations will be split among the following three charities:
Opportunity Fund, a non-profit microfinance organization that is currently raising support for small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 crisis — especially those run by women, people of color and immigrants.
MusiCares, a non-profit that provides critical assistance for music people in times of need. They’ve created a COVID-19 Relief Fund to help individuals in the music community affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Restaurant Employee Relief Fund, an initiative created by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) to help restaurant industry employees experiencing hardship in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.
