Hope Without Borders is an independent, non-discriminatory humanitarian aid organization created to promote humanitarian aid - with the simple wish of helping those in need. It is a registered Canadian Charity and has no religious affiliation. "Many people around the world are suffering; women are physically and verbally abused; families are living through poverty without hope - and they all need help. The Habitat International Coalition (HIC) is the global network for rights related to habitat. Through solidarity, networking and support for social movements and organizations, HIC struggles for social justice, gender equality, and environmental sustainability, and works in the defense, promotion and realization of human rights related to housing and land in both rural and urban areas.
Fly the Phoenix believes that education, as well as daily food, are basic human rights. In order to combat the imbalances of these rights, we are creating sustainable, 25-year cycle, educational community programs. These are funded by our local income-initiatives, challenges and international donations through our registered charity, Fly The Phoenix.

Soroptimists are women at their best working to help other women to be their best.Soroptimist members belong to local clubs, which determine the focus of service to their communities. Club projects range from renovating domestic violence shelters, to providing mammograms to low-income women, to sponsoring self-esteem workshops for teenage girls. In addition, Soroptimists participate in organization-wide programs that include the Women's Opportunity Awards, Soroptimist Club Grants for Women and Girls, the Soroptimist Workplace Campaign to End Domestic Violence, the Making a Difference for Women Award and the Violet Richardson Award. The Legal Network is Canada's leading advocacy organization working on the legal and human rights issues raised by HIV/AIDS.

Heart-Links is a small non government organization (NGO) based in London, Ontario that has worked for the past 20 years to support, through friendship and funding, several impoverished and vulnerable communities in northern Peru. We utilize a participatory model to work with these communities to identify needs and to collaborate on and financially support various community initiatives. Heart-Links works in partnership with women’s groups, community kitchens, children’s programs, adolescent programs and young adult training. Our programs develop self-esteem and leadership, educate about rights, and provide skills training. They are mainly in the areas of education, nutrition, health and income generation to promote self-sufficiency. In particular we focus on the empowerment and encouragement of women, children and youth.
Lanark County Interval House is a shelter and support network for women and their children who have experienced abuse. We work with women & children across Lanark County Ontario including the towns of Carleton Place, Smiths Falls, Perth, Almonte and all of the rural areas in between. Our emergency shelter accommodates 15 women and children at one time. Here we provide a 24-hr help/crisis line, safety, counselling for both women and children and advocacy to help women navigate systems on her journey to a successful violent-free life. Our Outreach programs provide counselling, advocacy and diverse support groups for women and children affected by abuse and sexual violence. Our public education program provides workshops, presentations, and resources to our communities and schools about violence against women, healthy relationships, and gender roles and stereotypes. We work towards ending the cycle of violence against women and children.
ORGANIZATIONAL OBJECTIVES To provide shelter for women and their children who seek safe and secure refuge from a violent intimate relationship. To own, operate, and maintain house(s) for temporary accommodation of abused women and their children. To provide abused women with culturally sensitive (or appropriate) support services, including counselling, with the aim of regaining power to consider alternatives and pursue options. To provide children of the abused women with emotional support and culturally sensitive counselling. To raise funds to further the objectives of the Halifax Transition House Association. To increase society’s awareness of violence against women and their children. To advocate legislative, social and economic change with the aim of ending violence against women and their children.
