Manitoulin Family Resources Inc. is a multi-service agency providing a wide range of programs to Manitoulin Island, Espanola and the North-east shore of Lake Huron. All of our services are free and confidential We provide programs for children and their families including Licensed Child Care, Resource Centres, Early Learning activities, mobile play sessions, toy and equipment lending, information and referral and parenting support. Our programs for women and their children include a 10 bed shelter for women escaping abuse, safety planning, short and long term counselling, mobile services including outreach to schools, referral and transitional support. Our Crisis Line is toll free in Northern Ontario and is open to women, men and youth in crisis. MFR also operated the Manitoulin Helpo Centre, which provides food to those in need onManitoulin Island, as well as clothing and sometimes furniture.

Rose of Sharon Services for Young Mothers is a not-for-profit, charitable organization providing support and educational services to prenatal and parenting young women under the age of 25 across York Region. Since 1985, we have given young mothers the opportunity to work towards their goals in a supportive, learning-centered environment while parenting their young children. With the generous support of our community, we are able to enhance the lives of young women and their families. We are the only agency providing these services in the region and the need for our services continues to grow each year.
