Child Honouring can create a stronger and more durable social and ecological foundation in four ways: 1. Healing communities 2. Fostering character growth in children 3. Restoring ecosystems and detoxifying environments 4. Creating learning environments that educate and inspire an entire generation to carry out these tasks Children are not a partisan concern, and Child Honouring is not pitted against any person or ideology. Its allegiance is to children, and to their families. It speaks emphatically for the birthright of children in every culture to live in a world of love, dignity and security.

Community Forests International works to connect people and their communities to the forests that sustain them. As the pace of global environmental degradation intensifies, the need for positive environmental stewardship and a balance between humanity and nature has become a necessity. Community Forests International was formed when a group of fishermen in Pemba, Tanzania felt the need to alleviate pressure on the environment. To provide food and timber sustainably, hundreds of Pembans began planting trees in a process of restoration. Today, Pembans plant over 100,000 trees annually for the provision of fruit, nuts, timber and increased habitat while improving the conditions of their environment. Building on the belief that a communities can motivate for positive change, CFl has grown to support over 12 communities in Pemba, Tanzania, while initiating climate change education world-wide. In 2009, Community Forests International began programming in its home country, Canada.

Lakeland College(LC) is a board-governed, public college operating as a Comprehensive Community Institution under the authority of the Post-secondary Learning Act of Alberta. LC offers credit programming in academic upgrading, agricultural sciences, apprenticeship & pre-employment trades training, business, emergency services and public safety, energy, environmental sciences, health and wellness, human services, interior design technology, tourism & university transfer. The College awards certificates, diplomas & applied degrees; and baccalaureate degrees in collaboration with degree-granting institutions. LC provides integrated emergency response training at the provincial, national, & international levels. Areas of specialty include fire service, emergency medical services, incident command & emergency preparedness. In addition, LC offers continuing education credit & non-credit courses, & workforce development training for business and industry in Canada, & internationally

To improve the quality of life of rural and tribal communities suffering from poverty, health hazards, illiteracy, lack of enforcement of laws of the nation with special reference to rights of women and children, environment degradation, lack of facilities for playing &sport activities and for the nurturing traditional culture of the target people.To strive for the empowerment of under served and underprivileged village communities with special emphasis on women through the organization of awareness creation, skill development, income generation, leadership development, community organization and capacity building programs; To allow participation of people's groups in all programs, projects and activities undertaken through the auspices of ARTI and in all stages from identification of needs and problems through to implementation, monitoring and evaluation; To avoid total dependency status of individuals and communities on outsiders through strengthening skill in the development processes;To strive for the empowerment of under served and underprivileged village communities with special emphasis on women through the organization of awareness creation, skill development, income generation, leadership development, community organization and capacity building programs;

HOW CAN I HELP? Every day you hear of poverty and social injustice at home and abroad. People sometimes find it easier to ignore this reality, not from a cold heart but believing they can be of little or no significance. But our work has shown that it is ordinary people who can and do make an extraordinary difference. No one person or group can solve all the problems, but we can support the suffering and stand with them in solidarity, helping them make the necessary changes to improve their lives. What may seem very little, like a fund drive in a school, community, or church, a donation, or giving your time and service, together is a whole lot. Since most poverty and injustices are human-made, they can be unmade. Relieving poverty and injustice can and will be achieved with the good will and involvement of large numbers of people. Every support is a "Rainbow of Hope". You can choose to be part of the solution.

Growth comes from journeying with those we serve, not in doing for them. 4. The importance of EDUCATION as the key to change. Education takes many forms. Those who are malnourished most of their lives often have special needs; secondary school, university, apprenticeships, as well as special education for severe learning disabilities such as deafness and blindness are all strategies we pursue.

The Vietnam Education Society was established in 2005 to raise funds to cover the cost of construction for new preschools and primary schools in rural Vietnam. Local authorities manage and operate the facilities, which are inspected by VES and our partner, East Meets West, on a regular basis. VES opened its first school in Vietnam in June 2007, a ten room school that serves close to 400 students in the small community of Cat Ne, Thai Nguyen Province, Vietnam. A multipurpose room and early childhood development centre were added to the school. Since that time, VES has built three other schools and is currently (Spring 2013) working on plans for the fifth facility. VES also works with the Pacific Links Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping stop human trafficking along the border regions in Vietnam. VES provides 40 scholarships for at risk girls and sponsors a summer camp to provide these girls with support and life skills

SEED invests in education by providing scholarships to around 100 high school and university students. Scholarships allow otherwise disempowered students to access much more than an education. Schools in Kenya provide students with food, health, counselling and community support. They allow students to evade tasks of subsistence and live out their childhood. Most importantly, education becomes a tool to combat poverty, allowing children to gather skills, pursue their dreams, and live up to their human potential. Scholarships cover costs for students' school fees, which pay for lunch fees, textbooks, and extra teaching. Many students are unable to afford these school fees, thus diminishing the likelihood of them completing their education. SEED also operates a primary school in Kibera slum, Nairobi, Kenya called SEED Junior Academy. SJA provides an education and lunch to around 60 children who would otherwise not be in school due to a lack of public education in the slum.

Guelph Community Christian School is committed to providing educational quality, for JK through Grade 8, that exceeds public standards while integrating Christian beliefs and values. At GCCS, the Christian component is part of every subject. The Bible is a guide for all of our programs as we seek to understand God's sovereignty over all human endeavours, and to respond in humility and service. We challenge our students to be changed by the Spirit of God from the inside out, and then to change the world around them. We make learning real through the use of Project-Based Learning. We teach peace-making through the Restorative Practices model for school relationships. We also put our mission into practice by collecting for the Salvation Army Toy Drive, Hope House Food Drive, and the Bracelet of Hope; sorting food at the Speroway warehouse, cleaning neighbourhood parks, planting trees in neighbourhood settings, etc. Education to change the world!

FLAP is a charitable not-for-profit, founded in 1993 to address the issue of bird collisions with human-built structures. Since its inception, FLAP volunteers have recovered over 59,000 birds from 166 species, all victims of collisions with a handful of buildings in the Greater Toronto Area. It is unsettling to add that 64 of these species are in serious population decline. Our dedication has placed bird collisions with buildings on the wildlife conservation map, and in doing so, has proven this issue to be the leading cause of bird death across North America. As a world-first organization, FLAP has mobilized the NGO, business, educational and government sectors to find progressive ways to protect birds from the hazards of our built environment. FLAP has created models for replicability of both our awareness and rescue initiatives, like those now running strong in New York, Chicago, Montreal and Minneapolis. LightHawk's mission is the champion environmental protection through the unique perspective of flight. Our goal is to mobilize enough volunteer pilots, aircraft and resources to help tip the balance toward sustainability for every major environmental issue within our targeted areas of focus. LightHawk helps to address environmental issues through: Educational flights over contested landscapes to convert abstract proposals into something passengers can grasp has a powerful ability to transcend all personal ideologies, change hearts and minds, build commitment, and lead to action. Technical flights are often the only practical way to obtain objective data on patterns of human and wildlife use. Technical flights include aerial photography, scientific data-gathering, wildlife surveys, and ground-truthing data obtained from satellites, high-altitude photography, or computer modeling. All  flights are donated by our corps of volunteer pilots.
