The National Gaucher Foundation of Canada was formed in 1991 by patients, family members, and health care professionals, seeking access to newly available enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) for the management of Gaucher disease, a rare genetic condition. Our vision is that Gaucher patients across Canada have access to optimal care and support to live full, healthy, and productive lives.

At any given time, there are thousands of impoverished, orphaned or abandoned children fighting just to survive in the unforgiving streets and desperately poor rural regions of Honduras. Their existence is bleak. It's defined by hunger, violence, drug abuse, prostitution and exploitation. It's an existence of fear, heartache and despair. But it doesn't have to be that way. With the help of our fellow Canadians and our Honduran partner Sociedad Amigos de los Niños, Friends of Honduran Children has set out to rescue these children and give them what they urgently need - a home and a future – helping them to transform themselves from victims of poverty, abuse and crime into functioning, independent, self-reliant, contributing members of society.

The focus of our organization is to network with Canadian consumer/survivors and family and friends of consumer/survivors to provide opportunities for resource sharing, information distribution and education on mental health issues.

The London-Middlesex Suicide Prevention Council(LMSPC)is a council comprised of volunteers representing organizations that deliver suicide prevention, support and/or treatment programs as well as survivors of suicide. It has been in existence since 1990. The Council aims to achieve its mission by; * Providing public awareness, education and advocacy in regards to suicide risk and prevention. * Providing opportunities for skill development that addresses suicide awareness, intervention, support and treatment. * Supporting the appropriate allocation of resources to support a full range of consumer-centered services to individuals and families. * Addressing stigma and discrimination experienced by individuals who have attempted suicide or the family members of those who have died by suicide. * Promoting and supporting collaboration among service providers. The Canadian Melanoma Foundation is a non-profit organization working with the public, melanoma patients and their families to raise awareness of melanoma and to build financial support for Canadian scientists throughout the country who are conducting cutting edge research for the better understanding and better treatment of melanoma.

Canadian Aid for Chernobyl is a nationally registered non-profit charity that solely depends upon the generosity of donations from individuals, businesses, industries and organizations to carry out the many humanitarian programs. Canadian Aid for Chernobyl provides children’s respite, humanitarian and medical aid, medical assistance and reconstruction of institutional washroom and laundry facilities benefiting thousands of victims affected by the world’s worst nuclear disaster. We are 100% volunteer driven with controlled administration expenses of approximately 1% allowing virtually every dollar donated to benefit the intended recipient.

Port Perry Hospital Foundation is a registered charity founded in 1979. We raise funds through a variety of means, such as special events, donor mailings, planned and estate giving, memorial and in honour donations, and more. We are presently working on a major initiative to bring a CT Scanner to our hospital. Our fundraising efforts are built on a strong, patient focused, excellent care close to home philosophy that is shared by medical staff, employees and volunteers.

Our Goals: To advocate for the best possible care, rehabilitation and recovery for individuals; To promote best practises based on current research; and To promote mental health and wellness through education.

Family & Youth Team provides counselling for individuals, families and groups on issues related to drug and alcohol use. Our Harm Reduction Outreach Team provides counselling, needle distribution/exchange, and support groups. We serve people who are street-involved or in conflict with the law,seeking support concerning their drug use in a respectful, non-judgemental and compassionate way that respects the competency of clients to make decisions about their care. The Clear Directions section 19 class provides an environment where students can develop their basic skills and to recognize their areas of strength. The program serves youth 14 to 18 who are experiencing both mental health and substance use problems. Satellite Opiate Addiction Treatment If you are looking to change your relationship with heroin or other opiates, the Satellite may be a place that can help you. The Satellite is a comprehensive program using both medical and non-medical interventions.

Diakonos Retreat Society is a non-profit charitable organization that was founded in 1997 to serve and strengthen Peace Officer and Emergency Services and their families. We do this proactively through our programs and events as well as reactively through our Diakonos houses where we provide shelter in a time of crisis.

The Pacific Parkinson's Research Centre has an interdisciplinary program dedicated to the treatment of and research into Parkinson's Disease and related disorders. The Center is a world leader in its field. The Pacific Parkinson's Research Institute exists for the sole purpose of raising funds for research into Parkinson's Disease. The Institute's support has been essential to the Centre's ability to remain at the forefront of Parkinson's research.
