The "Gaby Davis Foundation" was started in memory our daughter and friend Gabrielle Davis who lost her battle with childhood cancer in March 2007. Her brave fight against cancer inspired us to fulfill her wish to help other families fighting this terrible beast. Gaby experienced a life changing event with her diagnosis but instead of feeling sorry for herself it made her more sensitive to others' needs. During a visit to the hospital pharmacy Gaby witnessed a parent break down because they didn't have enough money to buy the drugs they needed to bring their child home. Gaby was quite shaken by the experience and shortly thereafter said this to her Dad... "Dad, we sure are lucky to have so many friends helping us. You think when my cancer is over, we can help people who don't have as many friends? I wish all the kids with cancer had enough money to do the stuff we get to do." Please help us to make this wish come true.

We have been to North Bay, Parry Sound, Huntsville, Midland, Pickering, Stratford, London, Port Perry, St. Catharines, Orillia, Windsor, Toronto GWN, as well as our hometown of Barrie. Some team members ventured to Darthmoth, Nova Scotia for an International Breast Cancer Festival. In 2007 members of the team ventured 'down under' to Australia for the Breast Cancer Survivor's Festival in September. We have also gone to New Orleans & Orlando, Florida for Festivals. 2012 was a special year as we celebrated our 10th year together. Together we are getting stronger, and strive for the day that we can proclaim a "future without breast cancer."

Courage, strength and heart: three traits that every young adult battling cancer exhibits. Alli Shapiro, founder of Alli’s Journey, exhibited just that in her seven-year fight with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma — courage, strength — and heart, to live with this disease using humour, humility and belief as her strongest weapons. Tragically, Alli succumbed to her disease at the age of 26, with the same courage, strength and heart — but most of all with dignity — in July 2006. Alli’s Journey focuses on the segment of the younger population that is struggling with cancer in various forms and degrees of substance.
