Independence House helps all domestic violence and sexual assault victims and their children by creating opportunities to find safety and become empowered through crisis intervention, advocacy, counseling, referral, prevention outreach, education and inspiring change in our community. Our vision is to see domestic and sexual violence come to an end.

Sanctuary for Families is dedicated to the safety, healing and self-determination of victims of domestic violence and related forms of gender violence.  Through comprehensive services for our clients and their children, and through outreach, education and advocacy, we strive to create a world in which freedom from gender violence is a basic human right.

Valley Haven is a Non-Profit Emergency Children's Shelter, located in Harlingen, Texas, for the children that have been removed from their home by Child Protective Services due to abuse and neglect.Children ages 0-17 years of age, male and female, from not only our surrounding counties, but the state of Texas as well, will temporarily reside at Valley Haven until appropriate placement has been located.At Valley Haven, our goal is to stop the cycle of abuse so abused children can heal and not pass on to their children the abuse they received from their parents.By showing and teaching appropriate ways to trust and love each other, the children at Valley Haven will feel safe, begin to heal, and look at their future in a positive way. Our children deserve the chance to grow into loving, caring, and happy adults.Valley Haven's mission is to protect, guide, and nurture abused and neglected children by providing them a safe and loving home!

OICA creates awareness, takes action, and changes policy on behalf of children and youth. Our mission and statewide leadership role is based on the belief that all children need to be: safe, healthy, and heard.

Mission: to identify, provide victim advocacy, respond to and treat child abuse and neglect in Buncombe county, NC; to educate and empower the public, protect children and reduce trauma through a coordinated community effort. Vision: to set the standard for providing quality, effective, evidence-based programs for the prevention, education and treatment of child abuse and neglect. By creating a community response to child abuse and neglect through a system collaboration, we will address abuse in a more enlightened, efficient, and effective manner.

To promote social change by providing services which empower battered and abused individuals and their dependent children, of all abilities, to achieve safe, violence-free lives; to partner with the community by providing information and education geared toward the elimination of domestic violence, the achievement of peace in relationships, establishment of a system to hold perpetrators accountable and provide a safe work environment.

CASA of the South Plains inspires, educates, and empowers solution-minded community members who are committed to supporting the best interest of children in the foster care system.Volunteer advocates create connections and promote nurturing relationships for the child and family, encouraging hope and healing.Through court appointment and collaborative efforts, volunteer advocates share informed recommendations for the well-being of the child.
